First off I am going to say that we are going to make the site GDPR compliant, we have already taken those steps ..
But then I am going to say, we don't need to ..
"Why?" you ask ...
Ok going to tell you why ..
OpenSim Life, is a Personal project created for the use of friends and family not a commerical entity, the goal may have been to grow to the point that we could become one, but we are not going to strive for that level any longer.
We are not marketing directly to anyone, be they US or EU based.
The sole purpose of this grid is for a social space for friends and family.
We do not store any personal information for marketing purposes, if any data is stored at all it is purely for security reasons.
Due to this, from this point forward all registrations will need to be a referral and approved by an admin.
Everything is mostly back to normal , regions are restored, registration is still set to manual approval, so if you register your account will not be active immedately .
Yes the grid has had issues due to a hack attack. Please note, that does NOT mean that every issue from then forward is "The Grids Fault". Many times it is operator error and viewer related abilities. Please check there first.
We had a grid meeting this past weekend and while many of you are concerned about your issue on a daily basis, as noted by messages received, no one but management showed up. So we now put everyone on notice that your inventory will be wiped at some point between April 15th and April 30th. Please take the precautions outlined at the meeting to safeguard your most important items.
From this point forward please contact Leighton Marjoram or SingerGirl Mode with questions and concerns, as I Bill Blight will be working the issue.
p.s. Leighton is in the U.K. so please take timezones into account and give ample time for a reply.
